I really like it, I use both rMBP version and iPad version and they work effectively. Synchronisation works smoothly.

I use datavault since +5 years, first on PC and Blackberry, then PC and iPhone/iPad, and now I finally switched to the mac version. Always effective, I never had a trouble with multi device sync. The only step not so fluid was migrating from PC to Mac as master system. Additionally, direct sync between a PC and a Mac seems not optimal. (not needed for the moment, but…)
Nice app but the sync dosn’t work with dropbox - failure massage.
I have been using it in the last 5 years on multiple platforms. Sync wasn’t easy. This last version syncs through dropbox flawlessly. Very effective It could be improved by scanning capacity on card ( membership, credit etc)
I depend on this product and it delivers. I open this daily to access important information. If there is a better product, I can’t imagine what it would do. Protect yourself NOW, if not with this product with another (although I am not sure why you would need anything more than what DataVault provides).
The description in the Apps Store and in the "User Guide for Mac" on the Ascendo web site clearly state that DataVault has an extension that allows one to use DataVault on Chrome for Mac. However, that is not the case. No such extension for Chrome for Mac exists. Numerous reviews on the Chrome Web Store confirm this fact, if you want additional verification…. Do not waste your time or money if your intention is to use DataVault on Chrome for Mac. Only extensions for Safari and Firefox are currently available for the Mac. Giving this app one star because the description states something that is patently false. Downloading this app was a colossal waste of time. Uninstalled.
I’ve been using DataVault for a number of years and it continues to get better. I have never had an issue, not once. It does everything I need without being overly complex. Every once in a while I would look at other password managers and come away thinking the same thing. Either they are too expensive and really don’t add anything or so cheap I worry they are going to prove untrustworthy. I always recommend this tool to anyone who asks.
I use long, complex passwords that are really not amenable to memorizing, so I’ve used this product for several years and have been very happy with it. I was recently prompted to update the O/S and applications (MAC); Datavault was upgraded to ver 6.1.5. Silly me, MAC updates have gone very smoothly in tye past so I didn’t think much about it. Now Datavault won’t accept either my password or master password (and I’ve tried both several times and am 1000000% sure that they’re correct (I use the password almost daily). The ultimate in security - even I can’t get at my passwords. As I stated, I use very long, complex (impossible to remember) passwords for bank accounts, etc. Now I’ve lost about 25 of them. My rating of this product just went from 5 stars to ZERO stars.
I use DataVault almost daily. It is a great password manager. My only issue is with the UI. The UI is very clunky on the OX and iOS version.
I totally could not search the Web without Data Vault.. I got it when I bought my first i phone. I already had a Mac Mini. Since then I have acquired an i pad. No worry - the Cloud syncs all the data I enter across all my devices.. I love it!!
Easy to use. Easy to sync between divices (Mac, iPhone, IPad, PC). It’s become even easier to use with thumbprint log-in on my Apple mobile devices. I haven’t tried anything else because for me this covers my needs at home and at work.
Why do you not support login with fingerprint?
I’ve been using this app for a good number of years. I have it on my phones, my iPad, my Macbook, and all my PCs. In this day and age where you really should NOT be using the same password for everything and where each service / application needing a password had different requirements for the password this app makes managing this easy. In my search for a password app I tried many if not all of the ones that were available. This is by far the best…IMHO.
Great app. Lot’s of templates and flexibility as to how you organize your info. Well worth the purchase.
I was using password keeper. They done an update and wiped out over half of my passwords. This one is very easy syncs well with all devices. It is very easy to add, edit or delete. I have it on all of iOS devices so if I need a PW.. Logon and go. So far it has been very secure for me. I am been using it for over a year! Thumbs up from this cowboy! You have Ben-Gooched!
Just Works! iCloud keeps everything in sync, easy to use across multiple plateforms. Excellent product.
I had occasion to update my AppleID Password, and again, this app was undeniably of great assistance with what can be a arduous chore. With DataVault, even the password can be generated, a function I have not used much over the many years I’ve enjoyed using this app. It has saved my bacon so many times, it has never occured to me it was blind luck, which that was when I made that choice to buy eons ago. Old Windows phones, Blackberrys, Macs, iPhones, iPads, you name it, it syncs. True, I’ve never used another password manager, but I can attest to the robustness of this one. As someone wrote, probably any password manager is better than none, but this has got to be one of the better ones, worth every penny. Thank you, Ascendo.
We’ve been using DataVault for several years, a family of six, syncing laptops, ipads and phones. We’ve had some sycing issues in the past, which we solved by logging out and logging back in, or, if that didnt work, delete the app and reinstall it. However, we haven’t had to do this in more than a year. The only thing we wish we could do it create our categories differently. We “think different” than the DataVault programers: we organize by the person, not the field. We sent them some recommendations and had a positive email exchange about this several years ago, but they’ve never changed. We found a way to make it work for us.
I’ve used DataVault for a year, and find it a very user friendly way to store my log-ins and bank info. I like the layer of security it adds to my iPhone, and it is easy to retrieve my passwords when I need them.
Couldn’t live without it. Great application. Strongly recommend to anyone who has a Mac.
