Password Manager Data Vault App Reviews

This is a must have in todays world of passwords. We have all our logins and passwords along with software keys securely stored on all our devices and workstations. Plus it generates secure passwords that I could never have thought of. Five Stars all the way

I use this product on my Macbook Air, iMac, iPhone and iPad. I don’t know what I would do without it. Between work and personal usernames and passwords, I have too many to count. I use it basically everyday, many times multiple times a day. Keeping all the systems in sync via wi-fi, if my needs to change a password for one of our accounts, I see it right away. I now longer need to text her and ask her if she changed it, I can see it myself. What could help is some additional sorting/grouping of like entries, but this is not a difficult thing to work with.

We use Data Vault on my MacBook, iPad, iPhone. My husband and I are able to stay organized by sincing on DropBox. This way we are able to keep up with hundreds of different passwords. I have all our important information stored in Data Vault: all of our insurances, bank accounts, car registrations, credit cards, on and on.

I agree with a prior review “confinity": GET A PASSWORD MANAGER. Passwords drive me crazy at times. Having a manager means I don’t have to memorize them all and can make them reasonably secure. This one is working for me. I tried getting someone else set up with it and he is still not using it. That said, it works pretty well for me these days. Linking and updating between my iMac, iPhone and iPad mini seems to be working lately but that has not always been the case.

I’ve used this product for the past 4 years and have always been very pleased. At one point after updating my mac operating system, I somehow created an issue with the program. I contacted the app support and found them to be very responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful. They walked me through steps to correct the conflict on my computer, and the problem was resolved right away and it’s been great since. Great product, and great support!

FIRST: GET A PASSWORD MANAGER. period. Then USE IT, for ALL your passwords. Make it your habit. Then use it to make longer, more secure passwords, and change them easily. Truly, it is a worthwhile investment, and loads better than a ratty notebook in the drawer by your keyboard. [End PSA rant] I recommend DataVault, as I’ve used it for years, and it has never disappointed me. DataVault has stood the test of time, a rarity in the iOS universe. It’s remained relevant and become more powerful and easier to use, without bloating into something it aughtn’t be in the first place. The desktop-iOS integration is seamless, and iCloud sync works flawlessly across my devices. If I remember correctly, DataVault was a month or two behind 1Password to introduce Touch ID (which saves loads of time), but when they update, it works… period. In fact, in all the years I’ve used DV, no update has ever been unstable or flaky–also a rarity for iOS apps. This developer takes both our security and our trust seriously.

I like this app. I also bought it for my ipad and iphone. The only default is that I had to go back to using safari to use the extension even though it clearly says it works with chrome it does not. Other than that, the app is solid. Another thing, syncing needs some more work. I have been playing with it for the last few days. I still have to master the ins and outs of this app. But overall, it is a good app for the price.

I was looking for a password manager, and after researching and reading many reviews, I thought I had found the one. The password generator is fantastic. I especially liked the autofill feature, but this is where the app failed. It doesn’t work with Safari; it works better with Firefox, but not with every site. I have contacted support and they have not been able (so far) to resolve my issues. Hopefully they will get it fixed and I can give it 5 stars. Until then, I am very disappointed with the app.

It continues to be a great way to securely store passwords and other info! This app does exactly what it is supposed to do and does it efficiently. It syncs from iPhone to MacAir effortlessly. Meets all my needs.

I don’t trust Apple or anybody else with my data. This app lets me lock away my key information on my phone and sync it with my laptop without using a cloud service. I have had zero issues with this app. Worth the money.

What that other reviewer said. . .go. do. it. I’m not tech savvy at all, this is a very easy app and reliable, I just have to remember my master password now. I use it on a daily basis, and would buy it again. well worth the $. worth more, really. Wish every buying expereience was like this one.

I have used this app for several years with absolutely no problems or concerns. It syncs easily between all my Apple products, from the Mac to my iPhone and iPad. Today we are faced with an unlimited amount of logins, passwords, numbers, codes, etc. Who can possibly remember all that? Some folks just write down those passwords on a sheet of paper. Problem is the paper could get lost, stolen, or just left back at home or in the office. No good when you are out on the road. My recommendation is to get this app. It is part of my life.

Paswords/data storage !!!! Great app for secure multi tasking . I’ve owned this app for a while now , and would recommend to my friends without hesitation .

I’ve been very pleased with this application since I started using it about 5 years ago. Updating the application is great. I especially like the latest update with seamless synch thru the cloud. Keep up the great work!

I’ve been using this app on multiple platforms for 10 plus years, and I’m overall happy with it. The only enhancement that I can think of right now is for the Wifi sync function to be a little more friendly. I could be that I don’t have it setup optimally though. Thanks Ascendo!

Like most people, I have many accounts, with multiple logins and passwords. Keeping track of them has alwsy been a challenge, at least until I purchased DataVault. Since then, I have been able to maintain all of my important account information in a single location, synchronized across all of my devices. More importantly, I have been able to implement a higher level of security by using multiple and stronger passwords for my most important accounts. Thank you for creating such a useful and easy to use product. In addition to a great product, I really need to call out their customer service organization as well. About a week ago, I decided to build a template for my airline programs. When I built the template, I experienced a problem with selecting an icon to represent the template I created. I documented the information and forwarded off to customer service. Today, I noticed that an update to the software was released, which included a fix for the problem I reported. This was a very pleasant surprise as my experience with other products has been that these issues take some time to be addressed. My thanks to Acendo for a great product and excellent support operation. Best regards.

Update 1/13/16: Loving the new sync feature. This makes it all so seamless. Thank you for continuing to provide a great app & a great service. Excited for each update. I recently had my apartment broken into & my wife & I’s laptop’s stolen. Thank God I use DataValut on a regular basis & have used it to not only store all my website passwords, but my personal banking & credit card info as well. I am a web designer so the number of passwords to servers & databases are endless. I am often changing them & making updates & without DataVault, managing all this would be a nightmare. I should mention too…it is nice to purchase an app that actually has support & progresses over time. So many of my apps become obsolete & degrade w/ the newer operating systems. DataValut is a project that is contanstly progressing. The one thing I am waiting for is a fix on is for browser plugin. Maybe its fine, I just seemed to have a difficult time getting it set up. That being said, the last two updates have been great. Tons of fixes & additional features. :-)

I need an app to store my passwords and some bank account info on my phone but entering it all with the software keyboard is pretty error-prone. With the Mac version I can enter it all on my desktop and then sync it over with iCloud. Once you get the connection set up (you need to use the same master password in both apps) the records seem to come over almost instantly. The interface is straightforward and has bunch of nice little touches (e.g. copy buttons on every field). Overall a great app for a fair price.

I don’t know how to use the app as well as I should, I think it might take a bit to learn it, but the accessibility for me is far superior to other ways I have tried to save passwords. I look forward to learning more about this app.
