FIRST: GET A PASSWORD MANAGER. period. Then USE IT, for ALL you passwords. Make it your habit. Then use it to make longer, more secure passwords, and change them easily. Truly, it is a worthwhile investment, and loads better than a ratty notebook in the drawer by your keyboard. [End PSA rant] I recommend DataVault, as I’ve used it for years, and it has never disappointed me. DataVault has stood the test of time, a rarity in the iOS universe. It’s remained relevant and become more powerful and easier to use, without bloating into something it aughtn’t be in the first place. The desktop-iOS integration is seamless, and iCloud sync works flawlessly across my devices. If I remember correctly, DataVault was a month or two behind 1Password to introduce Touch ID (which saves loads of time), but when they update, it works… period. In fact, in all the years I’ve used DV, no update has ever been unstable or flaky–also a rarity for iOS apps. This developer takes both our security and our trust seriously.

I keep all my most important information in DataVault. Everything from passwords, to bank accounts to insurance policy information, to frequent flyer details, and everything in between is stored in my DataVault. I never need to remember a password, account number, customer service phone number, or WiFi password again. Its easy to use, simple to sync with my iPhone and iPad over my wireless, and gives me anytime, anywhere access to my most sensitive data from my devices. With the numerous data breaches involving passwords to banks, online services, and other websites, like you, I need to have a unique password for nearly every location I visit on the web. With DataVault, I only need to remember one password - the one for DataVault itself. Once inside I can access passwords for even those rarely-visited places on the web, like my power company’s website. I sync the iOS version with the version running on my Mac, keeping everything avaialble whether I’m in my home office or on the road. Data Vault is a must have.

I like this App. Have it on my MAC, iPad and iPhone. I have all passwords and other info synced and rely on it on a daily basis. It is simple to use and the search function quickly gets me to the right entry among hundreds I have.

Years ago picked this product over a free open source one my smart phone suggested because this app encrypts the data. I own the app on an iPhone, Samsung phone, and the Mac because it works well and syncs between them well. The support team is very responsive over the years and this Mac version is stable now. ( I had an iCloud sync on the Mac vesion issue they resolved. ) We all have too many passwords to remember these days - rather than making easy to guess passwords, get this app and let it remember those hard to remember passwords for you rather than relying on your browser page settings.

I looked a long time for something to track my passwords, etc. after SplashID became deprecated when I moved to smartphone. I’m very glad to have chosen DataVault — it works great across devices and desktop. The sync is flawless by WiFi. And, I always have my information with me when I’m moving around to different places. In short, very glad to have such a good product that is stable, and well-updated.

Encrypted password and sensitive information available on all my equipment. Invaluable! Has been stable and reliable for the years I’ve used it.

We all know that we shouldn’t have one or two passwords for the myriad sites which we log into….This program allows me to store not only different passwords for each site, but also important individual id information, credit card information, and question/answers to security steps for different sites. Invaluable! Also I use it on my laptop and my iPad.

I would be lost without Datavault, and they keep improving it. I use it as a repository for just about all of my data. As long as I keep up with synchronization, the data is on all of my devices (I don’t trust auto update through the cloud, though).

I’d be lost without this app! Have never had an issue with it — works flawlessly! I highly recommend getting this app. I’ve used it for years and have recommended it many times to my friends and family! It’s the best!! If you’re searching for a good password app, this is the only one to use!!

Love it! Simple way to keep track of important info….

I have this on my Mac, iPad & iPhone. It’s easy to use and syncs perfectly. If a number is important to me it’s in DataVault. I like that I can export single records, so when my college student asks “Mom, what’s my frequent flyer number?” I can just send her a DataVault file, and then she has it forever too.

This “update” is nothing but cosmetically sickening. You think they’d address some usability issues like drag and drop and having the list collapsed after doing a search. Nothing like that. Horrible useless support for this garbage. No one listens to the users anymore. And if you have a real problem with it, forget about prompt courteous service. It takes them days to reply and they’re snippy and condescending. Edit: Won’t sync after 6.1.5 update. Reinstalled on my phone and Restore garbled all my records. Junk. Trying Master Password.

Works seamlessly on all three of my IOS devices. Reasonably intuitive. Simply an excellent application.

Synching between multiple devices via iCloud is super easy, with other synch options available. Very intelligent design with superb tech support - any question I have had over the years has been answered within 24 hours.

This application is very useful for consolidating many passwords and other record data in a secure environment. It is available on OS X and iOS which allows me to have my data available across all my devices. The program runs and works well for my purposes. The iCloud sync is very convenient.

Five stars!! I have been using DataVault Password Manager for some time and found it to be the perfect app for what I needed. Love that it works so flawlessly accross my iMac and IOS devices. When I had a question about syncing the information to my husband’s devices also (he has a different account) DataVault’s customer service responded promptly and were very helpful in sending step by step instructions on what I needed to do and how to set it up. They also went the extra step and followed up by making sure I was able to accomplish what I wanted. I thoroughly recommend DataVault to anyone and everyone needing to store their logins, accounts, personal information and passwords safely, and be able to access their information from other devices. Thank you DataVault!

I hv never had a problem w/ this app. Hv used it for 3 yrs. I use an acronym based on a sentence as my master password, so I hv never forgotten that crucial PW. The only reasonI did not give 5 stars is: it could look prettier! It’s pretty utilitarian in its graphic aspects.

Researched extensively before purchasing. Actually bought 3 different cheaper systems first, but trashed them all for various reasons - hard to use, poor cross platform behavior, awkward interface, etc. Works across all my iOS devices and MacBook Pro. Syncs neatly. Reasonable export options. Wouldn’t be without it. To all you cheapskates out there - just spend the bucks!! The investment is more than worth the peace of mind, not to mention the convenience. If you are really paranoid about backups of the entire DataVault file “just in case,” you can periodically export a CSV file, open & save in Excel, even export that to PDF if you want a more universal visual file, then password encrypt whichever one you’ve made, save to a USB stick, (or even print out if you are storing under lock & key), and stash the backup in a safe. If you have a few hundred passwords, it’s a little extra assurance.
